Zebra offers a range of connectivity solutions to meet the needs of evolving network environments
Wired Networking Products
Traditional ethernet print servers or cable-based networking products to encourage easy installation and operation of your Zebra desktop or tabletop printers.
ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server
How do you make the best thermal bar code printers even better? With the ZebraNet® Print Server Family. Look to
the top-of-the-line ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server to deliver more value to your Zebra® printing network by leveraging
existing network resources to significantly speed data transmission. The ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server increases the
networking capabilities of some of Zebra's most powerful bar code printers. And, if you require 10Base-T and
100Base-T networking, Zebra printers with the ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server can support both-providing the flexibility
you need.
ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server is available in an internal or external version that provides a complete wired solution
for 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and fast Ethernet 10/100 auto-switching networks
Twinax Interface
The Zebra Twinax Interface permits the Zebra R-140, 105SL, XiII/XiIII Series printers and the PAX Print Engines
to communicate with an IBM System, 34/36/38, AS/400, or associated controller. It can be configured on the IBM Host as
either an IBM 5256, 5224, 5225, or 4214 printer.
Twinax Cable is a high-frequency connecting cable in which two insulated wires run through the middle of the
cable. Surrounding the insulated wires is a second wire made of solid or mesh metal. It is called "twinax" because it
includes two physical channels that carry the signal surrounded (after a layer of insulation) by another concentric
physical channel, both running along the same axis. The outer channel serves as a ground.
Twinax is designed to operate with IBM System 34/36/38, AS400 or associated remote controller.
Printer cables - connect Zebra printer
Zebra communication cables enable efficient data flow. Rely on interruption-free communication, no matter where the
data originates.
Zebra cables perform effectively for high-performance and industrial and commercial printers, interfacing with
networks, personal computers, laptops, or other Zebra printers.
ZebraNet PrintServer II
Zebra printers offer unparalleled durability and reliability. With the ZebraNet® PrintServer II your Zebra printer
becomes an integral part of the network, continuously ready to support your bar coding needs. Available with most of
Zebra's printers, the ZebraNet PrintServer II allows easy connection and management of ZPL-based Zebra printers.
Today's world of computer networks is complex, but with the affordably priced ZebraNet PrintServer II installing
and maintaining a Zebra printer on a network is easy. Just connect it to the printer's parallel port and the
ZebraNet PrintServer II is ready to serve your print and networking needs. Plus, the internal version allows new
capabilities without enlarging the printer's footprint.
Coax Interface
The Zebra Coax Interface permits the Zebra R-140, 105SL, XiII/XiIII Series printers and the PAX Print Engines
to communicate with an IBM 3270 Mainframe, or associated controller. It provides IMB 3287, Model 2, printer
compatibility including LU1 (SCS) and LU3 (3270 data stream) modes.
Coaxial Cable is a high frequency connecting cable in which an insulated wire runs through the middle of the
cable. Surrounding the insulated wire is a second wire made of solid or mesh metal.
It is called "coaxial" because it includes one physical channel that carries the signal surrounded (after a layer
of insulation) by another concentric physical channel, both running along the same axis. The outer channel serves as a
ground. Many of these cables or pairs of coaxial tubes can be placed in a single outer sheathing and, with repeaters,
can carry information for a great distance.
Coaxial cables are required for high-bandwidth broadband systems and for fast baseband systems, such as Ethernet.
Wireless Networking Products
Zebra delivers sophisticated connectivity for advanced printers with wireless solutions to meet the needs of evolving network environments.
ZebraNet Wireless Print Server
- Free, flexible movement and reconfiguration of printers as business needs require
- 802.11b wireless communications protocol
- 802.1X-LEAP authentication and encryption technology to ensure reliable network and data security
- Compatible with PCMCIA cards by well-known and respected manufacturers
- ZebraLink-enabled for easy installation and remote printer management
ZebraNet Wireless Print Server enhances the XiIIIPlus and 105SL printers' wireless connectivity, plus it gives new
wireless capabilities to Z4Mplus and Z6Mplus printers. A lower-cost connectivity option that replaces clumsy wireless
bridges and power supplies, the 802.11b-compliant ZebraNet Wireless Print Server removes network tethers, to
provide location-independent printer operation.
The ZebraNet Wireless Print Server is particularly suited to networked environments within retail distribution centers,
and distribution and logistics companies.
Wireless for Mobile Networking Products
Zebra provides the necessary wireless tools to enable and operate your mobile printers.
Zebra Portable Radio (ZPR)
Zebra Portable Radio (ZPR) provides convenient and cost-effective wireless communication between handheld computers
and Zebra direct thermal mobile printers. ZPR is a Bluetooth-enabled "clip-on" device that enables wireless
communication between Zebra's mobile printers and Symbol's® SPT 1700/1800 (Palm® O/S) and PPT 2700/2800 (Windows® CE)
handheld devices, with streamlined point-to-point wireless connectivity using Bluetooth.
Virtually weightless, the ZPR adds less than one-quarter pound to the attached handheld terminal, and utilizes full
power management-minimizing impact on the handheld's battery. Simply clip it on, eliminating the need for new equipment
or cables. Zebra's roving agent solution takes scanning and printing to the customer at the point of application.
